Samuel Eto’o Incredibly Claims He Was A Better Player Than Ex Barcelona Teammate Thierry Henry

Barcelona legend Samuel Eto'o has sensationally claimed that he was operating on a higher level to his former Catalan teammate Thierry Henry.

Eto'o and Henry shared the same dressing room at Camp Nou for one season in 2008/09 , helping the Catalan giants to win the treble under the tutelage of Pep Guardiola.

The duo played instrumental role in Barcelona's exceptional campaign alongside the talents like Lionel Messi, Xavi Hernandez and Andres Iniesta.

In a leaked video from documentary broadcast by Booska-P, Eto'o boldly insisted he was better striker than France's all time top scorer. He also added that Henry was not as impressive as his fellow Frenchman Nicolas Anelka.

"I think he was not at the level of Nicolas Anelka. Thierry Henry was good, but I knew players... I preferred other players," said Eto'o, as reported by French publication Foot Mercato.

"In any case, he was not at my level. The luck or the bad luck that I had me, was not to play for France.

"Those who played in France had plus 70 per cent. It's not because they were strong, but because France sells them better.

Eto'o and Henry are regarded by many fans and connoisseurs as two of the greatest strikers in the 20th century.

The deadly pair scored goals for fun in the 2000s throughout to the early 2010s, winning plethora of trophies as well.

Henry is widely considered as the best player to grace the English Premier League, having scored 228 goals to become Arsenal‘s record scorer.

Eto'o fires back at 'juju' allegations

Sports Brief earlier reported that Cameroon's Football Federation, led by Samuel Eto'o, have reacted to a publication by RFI that the African country is planning on hiring black magicians for the World Cup in Qatar.
