Robert Lewandowski became only the third player since 2000 to pass the 600-goal career mark, after Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Poland forward reached the milestone after netting a brace in Barcelona’s 3-0 victory over Villareal, as the Catalans secured their first win in three matches.
Lewandowski scored his 600th career goal when he collected Jordi Alba's cross and shot past Villareal goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli in the 31st minute, to give Barcelona the lead.
The 34-year-old added his second of the night four minutes later after receiving another pass from Gavi, to extend the Catalans' advantage in front of their fans at Camp Nou.

Lewandowski’s road to 600 goals
Robert Lewandowski’s reached a remarkable landmark with his 600th and 601st career goals, after netting his 16th for Barcelona in their 3-0 win against Villareal on Thursday, October 20.
The 34-year-old scored 344 times in 375 games for Bayern Munich and also netted 103 times in 186 appearances for his previous club Borussia Dortmund, BBC reports.
Before moving to Germany, Lewandowski scored 21 times for Znicz Pruszkow and 41 times for fellow Polish side Lech Poznan, and has also scored 76 goals in 134 international matches for Poland.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Robert Lewandowski struck twice as a hurting Barcelona flexed their muscles to thrash Villarreal 3-0, to stay three points behind La Liga leaders Real Madrid.

Lewandowski extended his domestic tally to 11 goals and his brace, along with Ansu Fati's strike, came in an eight-minute blitz near the end of the first half which effectively killed the game.
