Ansu will not be part of Spain’s squad to tackle Switzerland and Portugal in the Nations League after the Barcelona star was dropped by Luis Enrique in his 25-man list.
The 19-year-old forward has scored two goals and created two assists for Barcelona so far this season but his performances for Barcelona were not enough to earn him a place in the Spain squad.
According to SB Nation, Spain’s manager, Luis Enrique has now blamed Fati’s lack of starting games for the Catalan giants as the reason for dropping the teenager.

“The truth is he was much better, now he has been participating but at his club he has only started one game and that tells me something.
“He continues to have a wonderful relationship with the goal, I hope he recovers his level and we see the best Ansu, but today I do not see him ready for the squad and that is why I have not brought him.”
Enrique has however not ruled out Fati’s chances of making Spain’s 2022 World Cup squad which starts in November if he raises his level before the Mundial.
