The tally makes him the third highest scorer of all time in the competition’s history. Cristiano Ronaldo still leads the way with 141 goals, followed by Lionel Messi, who has 125 goals in the competition.
The hattrick also marked the sixth time the Polish striker scored three goals in a Champions League game.
