Barcelona fans are still mauling over the Catalans’ disappointing goalless draw on matchday 1 of the 2022/23 La Liga campaign at home to Rayo Vallecano.
Jordi Alba, who featured in the game for Barcelona was also furious with the result at full-time that he confronted one of the Rayo Vallecano players at the Camp Nou tunnel after the game.
According to Barca Universal, Alba and Ivan Balliu of Rayo Vallecano were involved in a verbal spat with the Barcelona player accusing his opponent of talking too much.

Balliu would later reveal that part of Rayo Vallecano’s game plan was to frustrate the veteran Spanish defender, which he believed worked well all through the encounter.
“We knew that we could create danger behind Jordi Alba, also with the aerial game, and we had worked the match to be able to attack in that area.”
Jordi Alba will hope to play a key role in helping Barcelona bounce back when they next tackle Real Sociedad in their next game.
