Barcelona defender Gerard Pique had a night to forget during the friendly match between his side and Real Madrid in Las Vegas.

The Catalan giants defeated the Los Blancos 1-0 thanks to a strike from new signing Raphinha.

Raphinha notched the only goal in the 27th minute after he intercepted a wayward pass from Eder Militao to secure the win in a match in which Robert Lewandowski made his debut for Barca.

Gerard Pique started the game from the bench after he replaced Eric Garcia just after the start of the second half.

But as soon as the former Manchester United defender made his first contact with the ball, booes rained down from the crowd.

The 35-year-old continued to get booed and received chants of 'Shakira, Shakira' every time he touched the ball.

The romantic union between popular musician Shakira and Gerard Pique came to an end after the Barcelona legend was allegedly caught cheating.

The couple has been leading separate lives for quite a while now. They have been together since 2010 and their union was blessed with two children, Milan and Sasha.

According to Marca, Shakira has offered to take full responsibility of the couple’s kids as she plans to take them to Miami afterwards.

The singer has also proposed to absorb Pique from any financial responsibilities towards the children as she would even pay for him to travel first class to Miami five times per year to visit.
