Barcelona winger, Memphis Depay was left embarrassed after he was not recognized by French icon, Thierry Henry when the former Arsenal star paid a visit to the camp of the Spanish giants.

Henry returned to his former club to pay them a surprise visit during their training and greeted all players individually but the Frenchman appear not to recognize Memphis Depay.

According to the Daily Star, Henry breezed past the Dutch winger after they both greeted although Depay wanted to have an extra conversation with the 1998 World Cup winner.

The gesture by the former Arsenal left Depay bemused that he had to walk away from the rest of the crowd and head back to training.

Memphis Depay has seen his stock fall deeply at Barcelona after several injuries and the 28-year-old has been put up for sale by the La Liga giants.

Meanwhile, Memphis Depay could be set for a return to the English Premier League as Tottenham Hotspur has been offered the chance to sign Barcelona forward Transfer Tavern reports.

Tottenham is prepared to pay £14.4 million for the Netherlands international, but the Catalan club is still holding out for a £17 million transfer fee.

Memphis Depay still has a year left on his current deal with Barcelona but the Catalan club is looking to offload the Dutch winger this summer.
