Ghana to miss four key players in AFCON qualifier against Angola in Luanda
FootballPremier League Bound Team Reportedly Interested in Bafana Bafana's Percy Tau
- Bafana Bafana star midfielder Percy Tau is reportedly a wanted man in England
- Runaway Championship leaders Burnley is said to be interested in the Al Ahly player
- Should this materialise, it would be his second foray into the Premier League, having struggled in his first stint at Brighton & Albion Hove
Burnley is a few wins away from becoming the champions of the EFL Championship.
With the Premier League in its immediate future, the Clarets are said to be looking to deepen the South African flavour in its internationals mix.
KingFut reported that influential Al Ahly and Bafana Bafana midfielder Percy Tau is solidly on manager Vincent Kompany's radar. If the deal happened, Tau would join his national teammate Lyle Foster at the club.
Tau is no stranger to England, having struggled to establish himself at Premier League side Brighton & Albion before moving to Egypt. The 28-year-old made just three appearances while on the southern coast of England, being loaned out to Union SG, Club Brugge and Anderlecht RSC before landing in Cairo.

Broos advises Tau to leave Egypt
Sports Brief reported that Tau was told to leave Al Ahly.
That was the blunt opinion of Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos as he desperately sought to reincorporate him into the national team ahead of crucial 2023 Africa Cup of Nations fixtures.
South Africa disappointingly drew 2-2 with Liberia last Friday, and will need to avoid a defeat in the return fixture on Tuesday in Monrovia to retain any hopes of reaching the Ivory Coast.
Broos skips post-match conference
Broos, on the other hand, did little to endear himself to the local football fraternity after the Liberia match.
Sports Brief reported that the Belgian initially refused to attend the post-match press conference at Orlando Stadium in Soweto. Several videos on social media showed the press expressing anger and frustration at Broos for refusing to attend it.
Initially, assistant coach Helman Mkhalele was the one who fronted up to the media. However, after much consternation, Broos immediately pitched up to answer for the debacle that was the result.
