Alvaro Morata could end up staying in the Spanish La Liga this season as Atletico Madrid are unwilling to let the striker go this summer.
The 29-year-old Spanish forward has been linked with a return to the English Premier League, with Manchester United interested in the forward after a shambolic start to the campaign.
According to Football Espana, Morata is amongst the list of top strikers, including PSG’s Mauro Icardi, Raul de Tomas of Espanyol, and Jonathan David of Lille, the Red Devils, are eyeing.

Atletico Madrid are hoping to keep Morata as Diego Simeone believes the Spanish forward is the best fit to replace departed striker, Luis Suarez, who was released after his contract expired.
Morata only returned to Atletico Madrid this summer after spending the last two seasons on loan at Italian giants, Juventus.

Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid are keeping a keen eye on Sergio Reguilon and could make a move for the out-of-favour Tottenham Hotspur star this summer, The Hard Tackle reports.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Alvaro Morata will return to Atletico Madrid after his loan at Juventus comes to an end on Thursday, the Serie A club have announced.
The Spanish international forward will leave Turin after the two clubs failed to come to an agreement that would have allowed him to extend his stay in Italy.
Morata was in his second spell at Juve after being loaned there by Atletico in 2020, winning the Italian Cup the following year and scoring 32 times in all competitions.
