Stephen Oduro, a former player of Asante Kotoko has made an interesting revelation of how the club included a 'juju' expenditure in their budget presented to the team's patron Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
According to the ex-footballer, an amount of GHC 80,000 was spent by the club for black magic commonly known as juju in Ghana.
In a video posted on Twitter, spotted by Sports Brief, Oduro who is now based in the United States explained the situation as it led to the sacking of former coach Abdul Razak.
"It was time for management to make accounts to the club's patron, and in the budget it was revealed a whooping amount of GHC 80,000 was used for juju," he said in the video.
"It's funny there are players and you claim you have spent money on black magic. At the time the management spent a lot so there was the need for accounting. They made a lot from gate fees and the rest but they never made proper accounts.
"So we were summoned by Nana, who asked for the accounts and it was at that point that they disclosed GHC 80,000 has been spent on juju. So Nana was like your leaders say they have spent money on juju which means the coach and players have no importance so I will sack you all. This even led to the sacking of coach Razak."
