Ghana and Arsenal ace Thomas Partey has disclosed that his parents were his first coaches.
The defensive midfielder has been outstanding in the ongoing campaign for Arsenal in the English Premier League, with fans and pundits claiming he is the best in his position.
However, the Ghana international disclosed his rise to the top can be credited to his parents, who played a role in his football development.
”Both my parents are my coaches. There are instances during a game when I feel I can just chip ball but she (Mum) would be like why don’t I just attempt shooting often," he told Super Sport TV, as quoted by GHANASoccernet.

“There are situations in the game where things are different on the pitch than they seem on the pitch and in such situations, being on the pitch I feel there are too many bodies on the line if I shoot so I would rather look to give a pass which would create space and that is how it feels," he added.
Partey has scored three goals in 22 Premier League games for Arsenal this season, with two of those strikes from long-range distance.
