  • Thomas Partey has handed Arsenal a major injury boost following a video he posted of himself working out at Arsenal's London Colney training centre.
  • The Ghana international sustained an injury to his thigh in Arsenal's shock defeat to fellow London outfit Crystal Palace
  • His absence has ruined Arsenal's top four ambitions with the Gunners suffering two successive defeats

Crucial Arsenal first-team player Thomas Partey has stepped up his rehabilitation by posting a video of himself in a major injury boost to the Gunners.

The 28-year-old midfielder suffered muscle damage to his thigh in a Premier League game against Crystal Palace and was set to be out for a longer duration.

With uncertainty surrounding his recovery date, a data injury analyst Ben Dinnery predicted the Ghana international might be fit for Arsenal's north London derby against Tottenham Hotspurs.

And true to his words, it appears his projections will be accurate as a video posted on social media, spotted by Sports Brief, shows Thomas Partey on an exercise bike stepping up on his road to recovery.

Partey's absence from the Arsenal team has dealt a huge blow to the top four chances of Arsenal with the Gunners going on a three-game losing streak with a game against Chelsea on the horizon.

Prior to Partey's injury, Arsenal was in the driving seat to seal Champions League football but his injury setback has coincided with a run of defeats drastically reducing their chances of finishing in the top four.

Arsenal’s win ratio drops from 65.2% to 25% when the deputy Black Stars skipper does not start.

Again, the number of goals the scored by the Gunners decreases (from 1.83 to just 0.38 per 90 minutes) and the number of goals conceded rise (from 1.09 to 1.50 per game).

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that deputy Black Stars captain Thomas Partey is expected to return from injury before the end of the ongoing campaign according to medical expert Ben Dinnery.

Partey suffered an injury to his right thigh in Arsenal's Premier League game against Crystal Palace on the back of leading Ghana to the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

According to a statement on Arsenal's official website, the 28-year-old midfielder sustained muscle damage to his right thigh following a series of scans and could miss the rest of the season.
