  • Thomas Partey has expressed his joy over the rich vein of form demonstrated by ex-teammate Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at Barcelona
  • Aubameyang switched the English Premier League for the LaLiga during the January transfer window after he was frozen out of the Arsenal team by Mikel Arteta
  • But the Gabonese superstar has rediscovered his form scoring seven goals in his last seven games for the Catalan giants

Ghana and Arsenal midfield dynamo Thomas Partey is delighted with the performance of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at Barcelona.

Since switching to Camp Nou, the 32-year-old forward has rediscovered the form that made him one of the fearful players in his position, while Arsenal has moved from strength to strength in the Premier League.

Sharing his opinion on Mikel Arteta's decision to allow Aubameyang leave the club, Partey indicated he respects the decision of the manager.

"When you are given the chance as a boss, you have to make decisions as a boss," Partey told Sky Sports as quoted by HITC.
"Every decision he [Mikel Arteta] has made because he was given the chance to do it. We have to understand and accept because we have to accept how he wants to play. We are following it. For us [players of Arsenal], every decision he makes, we have to accept it, even if we don’t want it. It’s the decision of him and the club."

The 28-year-old Black Stars midfielder revealed how he has been closely observing Aubameyang at Barcelona and his former club Atletico Madrid but was quick to cite his joy for the Gabonese.

"I always watch most of the games of Barcelona and Atletico [Madrid]," Partey continued.
"I am very happy for him. We know that he is a great person, a good player and he can score. I feel happy for him in Barcelona because he is doing a great job there. I also think he will be watching us and be happy for us."

Black Stars midfield linchpin Partey converts to Islam

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Ghana and Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has reportedly converted to Islam after months of studying the religion at his base in England.

The 28-year-old is yet to confirm his switch in religions, but reports widespread on social media have stated he is now a Muslim.

In a photo posted on Twitter, spotted by Sports Brief, the deputy Black Stars captain is seen with an Iman as he gladly accepts the religion.
