Dumisani Zuma and Hellings Frank “Gabadinho” Mhango are looking forward to a fresh start at AmaZulu FC.
Zuma was released by Kaizer Chiefs after numerous disciplinary issues, while Mhango was sent to Usuthu in a swap deal with Orlando Pirates. Tapelo Xoki went the other way.
The two players have now opened up about their moves, highlighting what they aim to bring to the club, iDiski Times reported.
Zuma explained that he was happy to be joining the side and was confident that he could help the club achieve its expectations.
“After the meetings we had with the chairman, the plan and expectations are very clear. He wants to do well in the league and I think I’ll help the team achieve this,” he said.
Mhango is also keen to help the side with their achievement and is eyeing bringing some silverware to the KwaZulu-Natal outfit.
“I’m very excited to join the Usuthu team. I want to win trophies as a player and grow as a player and I want to help the team to achieve the goals and to win trophies,” he said.
The duo are just two of six players that the Usuthu recently announced. Four other players are expected to join the club soon.
AmaZulu took to their social media pages yesterday to officially welcome the new players to the club and for the players to introduce themselves.

FootballDumisani Zuma's controversial stay at Kaizer Chiefs has come to a somewhat unsurprising end.
The club announced earlier today that it had decided to part ways with the 27-year-old midfielder having placed him on suspension with a year still left on his contract. The past season had proved rather difficult for him at Naturena.
In late 2021, Zuma was suspended after he was reportedly found guilty of driving under the influence of alcohol. Then at the end of April, it turned out that he was suspended a second time after a falling out with coach Arthur Zwane.

As reported by Sports Brief, one face who will not be with the Amakhosi next season is Dumisani Zuma. The player is currently suspended by the club for breaching the code of conduct but according to news reports, he wants out from the Amakhosi.
It was since reported that the player’s representatives have requested his clearance from the club.
