Nigerian striker Odion Ighalo has continued to paint the Saudi Pro-League with goals following his stunning strike to win it for Al-Shabab against Al Ahli, Thisday reports.
Complete Sports are also reporting that the AFCON-bound Super Eagles striker scored the winning goal for the visitors in the 73rd minute.
The 32-year-old was in action for full 90 minutes of the encounter staged at the Abdullah al-Faisal Stadium, in Jeddah.
So far, Ighalo has found the back of the net 11 times in 15 league appearances for Al Shabab this season.
The forward is also now the top scorer in the league ahead of Al Nassr’s striker Talisca, who has 10 goals to his name.
Al Shabab are second on the table with 31 points from 15 games.
Ighalo on the radar of Newcastle United
Meanwhile, Ighalo is now on the verge of making a stunning return to the Premier League as Newcastle United are said to be interested in signing the Nigerian superstar.
The former Watford of England stiker moved to the Middle East after his loan spell at Manchester United from Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua came to an end earlier this year.
He scored five goals in 23 games for the Red Devils before he moved away from Old Trafford.

Sports Brief earlier reported that Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo returned to Ajegunle area of Lagos to participate in the Salami Street carnival; an area where he grew up.
The Al-Shabab of Saudi striker took time out to personally attend the event and shared photos of the activities on his Instagram handle.
Ighalo has always identified with his roots as he was recently in the area where he visited the house he earlier purchased for widows.
