With today marking the first day of the year, Ghanaian footballers and other athletes have taken to social media to celebrate the days as well as send goodwill messages to their friends and fans.
Leading the social media well-wishing is teen sensation Felix Afena-Gyan who posted a photo of himself and other members of the AS Roma team wishing everybody a happy new year.
Former Ghana goalkeeper Razak Brimah also posted a lovely photo of himself and his family in celebrations of the day.
"Happy New Year," wrote Afena-Gyan.
"Happy new year to you all!!," added Razak Brimah.
"What a year 2021 has been ! Time to reflect upon the year and adjust my sails. A big thank you to all that have been supporting me . Love y’all," wrote Olympian Azamati.
Hasaacas Ladies star Evelyn Badu wrote: "Happy new year."
Former Black Stars assistant coach, Ibrahim Tanko wrote: "May the New Year bless us with health, wealth, and happiness."

Their rivals Hearts of Oak, wrote:" Wishing you all the best for 2022. Phoooobia."
Ghanaian footballers celebrate Christmas with lovely photos
Earlier, SportsBrief.com reported that, Ghanaian footballers have taken to social media to wish their friends, family and fans a Merry Christmas with some lovely photos and messages.
Notable among these players are Christian Atsu and Alexander Djiku's Christmas post as the world celebrates the birth of Christ.
