Maritzburg United aren't keen to sell Hlongwane

Maritzburg United Chairperson Farook Kadodia doesn't think that Maritzburg United should sell the star striker during the upcoming transfer window. According to the Daily Sun Kadodia said he was aware of rumours linking the player to the big three clubs. He added that they needed to keep their striker as they looked to avoid relegation.

“We don’t think now is the right time to sell the player as we are not in a good position,” said Kadodia. “We heard about Sundowns that they after Hlongwane but we need all our best players next year. Maybe at the end of the season, we will sell. But now our fans can be assured that Hlongwane will be with us.”

Dribbling wizard Surprise Ralani signs for Sundowns: "They are weakening other teams"

In other PSL news, Mamelodi Sundowns have fired the first serious shot of the January transfer window by signing Bradley "Surprise" Ralani from Cape Town, Sports Brief reported. Masandawana made the announcement on the club's Instagram account.

He will join the club during the DStv Premiership's current festive season recession, ending in the middle of January. Ralani might have to wait until at least February to make his debut for the club when its heavy schedule resumes on the African continent.

Reaction to the news of the 34-year-old Ralani joining the runaway log leaders was met with general positivity, even if there were doubters of its necessity and motive. Sundowns boasts a large, quality-filled roster as one of the richest clubs on the continent.
