Football"Viva Ronaldo!" Manchester United Returns to Winning Ways, but Response is Mixed
Manchester United returned to winning ways after putting away Burnley 3-1 at Old Trafford in the Premier League
- Goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and man-of-the-match Scott McTominay as well as a Burnley goal secured all three points
- After aggravating their Mzansi fans with an insipid performance against Newcastle United, they worked hard to get the social media critics back onside
Manchester United experience the winning feeling again as they saw off Burnley 3-1 in the Premier League last night.
Goals from man-of-the-match Scott McTominay, Cristiano Ronaldo and an own-goal from Ben Mee put the Red Devils three goals up, before Aaron Lennon gave the visitors a consolation goal at Old Trafford.
The win extended United's unbeaten run to eight matches since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was sacked in November. It was also the third win in five games for caretaker manager Ralf Rangnick.
The team bore the brunt of harsh but fair criticism after their lacklustre 1-1 draw against relegation fodder Newcastle United on Monday. It appears this relieving win pleased fans, though they will require convincing that the season can be salvaged.
