King Faisal eliminates MTN FA cup favorites Kotoko after beating city rivals twice this season

• King Faisal gets to keep the derby bragging rights after beating Asante Kotoko in the MTN FA Cup round 64 game on Wednesday, which saw the porcupine warriors eliminated from the competition
• It is the second time in as many as two weeks that Kotoko have tasted defeat at the hands of King Faisal after losing to them in the Ghana Premier League this season
• The 1:0 defeat to King Faisal today in the MTN FA Cup and the 3:2 defeat in the Ghana Premier League to end Kotoko's unbeaten run in the league are Kotoko's only defeats this season

King Faisal has handed city rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko their second defeat this season to kick out the supposed favorites of the MTN FA Cup from the competition.

The defeat was the second Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum's men have suffered this season in all competitions with the last coming in the Ghana Premier League (GPL).
