Super Eagles Star Odion Ighalo Spotted at Street Carnival in Ajegunle, Shares Gifts to Youths and Widows

• Odion Ighalo has continued to identify with his roots as the Super Eagles striker was spotted at the Salami street carnival in Ajegunle, Lagos
• The AFCON-bound Super Eagles striker was physically present at the event as he also distributed goodies to youths and widows
• Ighalo says many youths have been empowered through entrepreneurial skills, while some are in the Ighalo football academy

Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo returned to Ajegunle area of Lagos to participate in the Salami Street carnival; an area where he grew up, Pulse Ng reports.

The Al-Shabab of Saudi striker took time out to personally attend the event and shared photos of the activities on his Instagram handle.

Ighalo has always identified with his roots as he was recently in the area where he visited the house he earlier purchased for widows.

The former Manchester United striker also cited how he has helped people from his community to make a living through football and other works.

Alongside the pictures, Ighalo wrote:

“It’s always a privilege to go back to where I was born and be part of the Salami street Carnival, it’s an opportunity for me to be source of inspiration to the youths in Salami street and Ajegunle at large.

“Through the Odion Ighalo foundation, so many youths have been empowered through entrepreneurial skills, while some are in the Ighalo football academy @ighaloacademy.

“I’ll continue to do my best in other to help my people become successful from the street I grew up. Not only the youths but also adults and widows in the streets. May God continue to empower me and my team. Ajegunle to the world.”

Meanwhile, Super Eagles forward Odion Ighalo is giving his kids a special treat this festive period as the striker takes them out for a lavish shopping.
