  • Comedian and ardent Manchester United Dillan Oliphant ripped into his club for a poor performance in a 1-1 draw against whipping boys Newcastle United
  • Oliphant compared them to the South African police, a romantic partner and Slik Talk, among other hot jabs
  • The video was met with mirth by his followers, who then piled in on the Red Devils with their own sharp punchlines

Comedian and ardent Manchester United fan Dillan Oliphant made fun of his beloved club after its insipid 1-1 draw against Newcastle United on Tuesday.

Oliphant has become something of a crowd puller off the stage with his humorous and irreverent previews and reviews of United matches on his Facebook page.

He was in fine form once again, ripping into the Red Devils with his trademark mock rant packed with puns.

Oliphant joked:

"16 days! We waited 16 days for that! Everyone collects 16 points from Newcastle. We were like Slik Talk in the boxing ring... at this rate we will never perform higher than his voice.
"Man United is the partner in the relationship who promises to change... but they never do! Man United is like the villain in every Tyler Perry movie! Why can't you keep possession like Donny van de Beek keeps the bench?"

Followers joined in on the hilarity by firing their own shots at the beleaguered Mancunians.

Theo Mitchell said:

"Brilliant as usual!"

Dinesh Peria said:

"Ja nee... My Gunners heart bleeds for you"

Marshall Petersen said:

"The only positive thing about this squad, within the 16 days, was the Covid Test!"

Deon Meyer said:

"When we have the ball, we look like the SAPS... clueless."

Dribbling wizard Surprise Ralani signs for Sundowns: "They are weakening other teams"

Mamelodi Sundowns have fired the first serious shot of the January transfer window by signing Bradley "Surprise" Ralani from Cape Town.

Masandawana made the announcement on the club's Instagram account, confirming what had become an open secret in recent weeks.

Sports Brief reported that he will join the club during the DStv Premiership's current festive season recession, ending in the middle of January.
