  • Said Benrahma was on the scoresheet as West Ham United demolished Watford 4-1 right in their backyard
  • The Hammers were superb in the encounter which they dominated for most parts of the entertaining tie
  • After final whistle of the game, Benrahma was spotted the moment he ran to the stands to share warm embrace with his mother

Following West Ham’s 4-1 win over Watford in the Premier League, Said Benrahma’s embrace with his mum after the game was incredibly heartwarming, Sky Sports reports.

The Hammers took to their official Facebook page to share the adorable clip where the player ran to share a warm embrace with his mom at the end of 90 minutes.

Benrahma has really come into his own this season and credit must go to David Moyes for bedding him into the team and the Premier League slowly.

The 26-year-old played a key role in their win against Watford away from home as he scored his side’s second goal after Soucek equalised earlier.

The Algeria international is obviously a very down to earth young man and he was impressive before Noble and Vlasic completed the win.

It was gathered that Benrahma’s mother played a very important role in his life, even more so after his father passed away at the start of last year.

Liverpool’s Henderson handed three-match ban

Meanwhile, Liverpool face the prospect of playing Chelsea without Andy Robertson whose Premier League suspension is set to stretch until the new year.

Robertson was slapped with a three-match ban after he was red-carded for a reckless challenge during the Reds' meeting against Tottenham Hotspur last weekend.

The Scottish was handed marching orders in the second half of the explosive EPL clash just moments after he fell victim to a horror tackle from Harry Kane.

The full-back has already served suspension in one match having missed Liverpool's midweek clash against Leicester City.

He was due to miss his side's encounter against Leeds United in the Premier League and a rematch against the Foxes before returning to action when Jurgen Klopp's charges battle Chelsea on Sunday, January 2.

Chelsea handed injury boost

Sports Brief earlier reported that Chelsea have been handed a double injury boost ahead of their Premier League meeting with Brighton on Wednesday, December 29, at Stamford Bridge.

The west Londoners have had to contend with injuries to key players and Covid-19 within the squad in recent weeks in a blow that has taken a huge toll on their title challenge.

The absence of important players saw the Blues drop points against West Ham and Everton before they bounced back to winning ways against Aston Villa on Boxing Day.
