Ademola Lookman, who came on as a halftime substitute, however, made Liverpool pay for their missed chances when he scored what ended up the winning goal in the 57th minute of the game.
Salah, who is the premier league’s top scorer in the current campaign with 15 goals have come under criticism from fans but Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp who wasn't impressed by his team's overall performance has played down the penalty miss as reported by Liverpool Echo and expects the Egyptian forward to bounce back stronger.
"There's not a little bit of blame for him or whatever.
"Yes, James Maddison for sure was talking to him [to put him off], but everybody tries that.
