Ghanaian defender Mohammed Salisu received his first red card in the English Premier League after he was sent off in the game between Southampton and Tottenham.
The 22-year-old was given his marching orders after a second yellow card following a foul on Tottenham's Son Heung Min in the 40th minute.
In photos posted on Twitter, sighted by SportsBrief.com, the young center back is seen walking off after he was booked.
Salisu had been impressive for the Saints, who took a 25th minute lead through captain James Ward-Prowse.
But two minutes later, the Ghanaian will go into the books of referee Anthony Taylor for clattering Tottenham's Emerson.
The Ghanaian was unlucky after a foul on Son Heung Min in the box saw him receiving a second booking, with Southampton conceding a penalty. Harry Kane made no mistake from the spot as Spurs leveled.
Ten-men Southampton held on to draw 1-1 at the Saint Mary's despite playing 50 minutes with a man down.
Mohammed Salisu will miss the game against Newcastle United on January 2, 2021.
The former Real Valladolid player has been in scintillating form this season, having played 20 games across all competition and has a goal to his credit.
