FootballOrlando Pirates Defender Olisa Ndah Praised for Making Super Eagles Afcon Squad
- Impressive Orlando Pirates defender Olisa Ndah was unexpectedly selected for Nigeria ahead of the African Cup of Nations in Cameroon
- Not only did the 23-year-old find his quickly after moving to South Africa from the Nigerian Premier League in August, but he has become a central figure at the Buccaneers
- Fans praised him for his meteoric rise, while others were worried that he'd be lost to the Sea Robbers if he impressed at the tournament with scouts on the prowl
Orlando Pirates defender Olisa Ndah's inclusion in Nigeria's 2021 African Cup of Nations' squad has been met praise and glee.
The 23-year-old has impressed since joining the Buccaneers in August from the Nigerian Premier League's Akwa United, and it was only a matter of time before he caught the eye of Super Eagles' selectors. He had made only two appearances for the national team thus far since making his debut back in 2019.
While some were happy for his selection, others feared that he'd be seen at the tournament by overseas scouts, leading to his sooner-than-desired departure from Pirates.

"Ndah is the best defender we've had in a long time. If only we could get another one as good or close but a left footer with more aggression. I'm tired of Nyauza and Jele. The less said about Kwanda the best. What a cow."
Tidos said:
"His arrival at Mayfair was coupled with great performances. Rats are no longer conceding for fun. He is much better than his Cameroonian counterpart, Luc Zoa."

"Olisa Ndah replacing the useless Nyauza while Kwame Peprah showing selfish Mhango the way out of Mayfair.. It's a Naija and Ghanaian jollof."
Andries Baloyi said:
"He plays with intelligence, not only physical. I compare him with Siya Sangweni. He knows football. Let's just wrap it there."

FootballManchester United's Harry Maguire remains Mzansi's punchline as poor form continues
Mzansi' Manchester United fanbase on social media continues to hammer captain Harry Maguire.
The Red Devils played out an insipid 1-1 draw against bottom-of-the log Newcastle United in the Premier League and Maguire was one of the many United players who disappointed.
Sports Brief reported that the England centre-back had already been delivering disaster-class performances all season, so he was under more scrutiny than his teammates.
