The senior national team of Ghana, the Black Stars have zoomed into early preparations ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon next year.

The team led by coach Milovan Rajevac have been in Doha since Saturday, December 25, 2021 as pre-AFCON camping begin for AFCON 2021.

In photos posted on Twitter, sighted by SportsBrief.com, the players together with the coach are seen going through some drills.

Only nine players have reported to camp, with the rest expected in camp this week with the exception of England-based players.

Thomas Partey, Jordan Ayew, Baba Rahman, Andy Yiadom and Jojo Wollacott have been given an extended time and will report on January 3, 2022.

The Black Stars have lined up a series of friendly games, including an epic clash against African champions Algeria in Qatar.

The team will leave for AFCON 2021 on January 7, 2022 before the tournament begins two days later.

Ghana's Black Stars have been drawn in Group C alongside Morocco, Gabon and the Comoros Island.

The four time Africans champions will play Morocco in their first game at the Nations Cup on January 10.

Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac explains Algeria friendly

Earlier, SportsBrief.com reported that, head coach of the Black Stars, Milovan Rajevac has disclosed that playing against Algeria in a friendly before AFCON 2021 will give the team an idea of what to expect against Morocco.
