- Gareth Bale who has not played since August is on the unwanted list as the club wants him off as soon as possible
- Isco and Marcelo are also facing the same fate as both players have been on the fringes this term under Carlo Ancelotti
Spanish club Real Madrid are planning to get rid of a number of stars when the January transfer window opens, and one surprising name on the list is Gareth Bale.
The Welshman returned to the Santiago Bernabeu having spent the 2020/2021 season on loan at Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur.
Bale is yet to taste action since August despite winning four Champions League trophies and two La Liga titles with the Spanish club.
He has well over 100 goals for Real Madrid, but SPORTbible are reporting that the player’s relationship with the club's fans has soured in recent times.
Spanish outlet Marca are now reporting that the Real Madrid are trying to finally part ways with the player when the January transfer window opens.
Also in the same shoes is Isco who also finds himself on the unwanted list, having been on the fringes this term and approaching the end of his deal at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Club captain Marcelo is another who has found first-team opportunities hard to come by. No longer first-choice, the Brazilian has played just five times in all competitions this season.
Why Atletico Madrid are struggling this season?
Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has advised his team to clear their minds and get to work after a disastrous start to the defence of the La Liga title.
Los Rojiblancos are currently placed 5th in the standings and are 17 points off the pace against city rivals Real Madrid who tops the table with 46 points.

Jules Kounde agrees to join Chelsea
Sports Brief earlier reported that Thomas Tuchel has been handed a significant transfer boost after long-term target Jules Kounde reportedly agreeing to join the Blues in January.
The Stamford Bridge dwellers made a move for Kounde during the summer transfer window but were unable to agree a deal with Sevilla who were demanding £68.5million.
The defender is believed to have been left fuming after the move fell through but remains keen to join the European champions.
