- Nigerian Football Federation have released the names of the players who will be representing the nation at AFCON 2021
- Ahmed Musa who is the captain is on the list alongside the likes of Moses Simon, Victor Osimhen and Taiwo Awoniyi
- Watford striker Emmanuel Dennis has also returned to the Super Eagles following his impressive performances this season
Augustine Eguavoen who is the interim manager for the Super Eagles has named his final 28-man squad for the 2021 African Cup of Nations in Cameroon which will start on January 9.
As expected, Ahmed Musa is on the list as former Liverpool player Taiwo Awoniyi also made the final squad for the Africa's prestigious competition.
According to the confirmation by the Nigerian Football Federation, they disclosed that all the players called for the AFCON must start reporting to camp in Abuja from December 29.

Odion Ighalo and Victor Osimhen made the final list and even Sadiq Umar and Emmanuel Dennis who has been superb this season in the Premier League.

Earlier, Sportsbrief had reported how Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo is now on the verge of making a stunning return to the Premier League as Newcastle United are said to be interested in signing the Nigerian superstar.
So far this season in the Saudi Arabian League where Odion Ighalo currently plays for Al-Shabab, the Nigerian striker is the leading scorer with nine goals.
Odion Ighalo moved to the Middle East after his loan spell at Manchester United from Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua came to an end earlier this year.
