Former Nigerian International sends message to Eguavoen over Victor Osimhen’s situation

Earlier, Sportsbrief had reported how a former Nigerian international, Jonathan Akpoborie, has sent strong message to the Super Eagles handler Augustine Eguavoen on how to handle Victor Osimhen at the Africa Cup of Nations.

AFCON 2022 is billed to kick off in Cameroon on January 9 and Osimhen who earlier suffered fractures to his cheek has declared his readiness to participate at the competition.

The 23-year-old suffered a fractured eye socket and cheekbone after a head collision with Inter’s Milan Skriniar in a Serie A clash which ended 3-2 in favour of the Italian champions.

And Italian club Napoli has threatened to take legal actions if the striker is called up for the tournament in Cameroon.

And former Nigerian forward Jonathan Akpoborie has said the youngster must not be rushed to action.
