FootballNigerian Striker Emerges at Top Transfer Target for Premier League Club
- Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu has emerged as transfer target for EPL side Tottenham Hotspur
- Atletico Madrid and a few other clubs might also be interested in the Nigerian forward who currently plays for Genk
- Onuachu has scored nine goals in 10 appearances in the Belgian league so far this campaign
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Nigeria international Paul Onuachu as back up for Harry Kane.
The Super Eagles star has scored nine goals in 10 Belgian League appearances so far this campaign. He also has a couple of other goals in other competitions too.
Meanwhile, Spurs will have to battle clubs like Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Southampton and West Ham for his signature.
SunSport are also of the opinion that Arsenal have made enquiries about the tall goal poacher ahead of a possible move in January.
Reports claim Genk will not entertain offers from any interested club below the £20 million they slap on the striker.
Tottenham are hoping to add the Nigerian star to their attacking depth as Harry Kane might likely join Manchester City any moment from now.
The Premier League champions tried poaching the England skipper in the summer but that failed to pull through in the end.
Kane is contracted to Spurs until the summer of 2024 and this makes it more difficult for his suitors as they will need to pay a fortune to lure his signature.
Watford wants Nigerian star Onuachu
Legit.ng earlier reported that Premier League club Watford are on the trail of Super Eagles forward Paul Onuachu who impressed for his Belgian side Genk last season.
Soccernet are reporting that about four Nigerians are on the radar of the English club, but they seem to have other players in mind.
English outlet The Athletic are claiming that Onuachu is one of the players in the club’s transfer list during the summer transfer window ahead of the forthcoming season.
