Former Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has made a damning admission about Timo Werner, as he suggested the striker at times looked “fed up” with his Chelsea team mates.

Fabregas never got the chance to play alongside Werner, as he left Stamford Bridge for Monaco a year before Werner completed a famous move.

This did not stop the playmaker from making the bold claim via a Q and A session with his fans on Thursday, October 28.

A fan asked him about his thoughts on Werner, and Fabregas was rather critical of the striker’s situation at Chelsea, saying:

"He makes so many good runs but sometimes they either don’t see him or don’t play the pass. Looks fed up sometimes."

Having signed for Chelsea last season, Werner has struggled to find his feet as a Blue, but the arrival of Tuchel at Stamford Bridge helped his cause a little.

The 25-year-old has only managed 14 goals and 16 assists in 62 appearances so far for the Stamford Bridge dwellers.

Tuchel has shown immense faith in Werner and plays the forward in important games, including in last season’s Champions League final.

Fabregas had a successful stint at Chelsea, where he won two Premier League titles including in the 2016/2017 season under Antonio Conte.

The Spaniard insists that the west London club can help the German star reach his peak again if his teammates serve him the ball during matches.

The former Leipzig man scored his first Premier League goal in eight months during his side's 3-1 triumph over Southampton and after the game, he told the club media that he was super excited.

Werner injury update

As far as his fitness is concerned, Werner was a notable absentee along with fellow forward Romelu Lukaku in Chelsea's rout against Norwich City.

The German, according to reports, has a nibbling hamstring injury that is keeping him out, and is still a major doubt for Saturday's clash against Newcastle United.
