NFF Submit Massive N15.6m Budget for Cleaning and Fumigation for 2022

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has made a huge budget to the tune of N15.6million for cleaning and fumigation, Sports Day, NFF.

The football governing body made known in their 2022 spendings and has been submitted to President Muhammadu Buhari before it was presented to the National Assembly.

A breakdown of NFF's budget to the National Assembly

A total of N1.2billion was allocated to the NFF in the 2022 budget and N109m of it will be used to pay salaries and wages.

The N905m overhead costs cover the budget for cleaning and fumigation to the tune of N15.2m while the remaining N205m will be used to execute capital projects.

Security challenges will amount to N14.8m as financial consulting will gulp N32m and legal fees will result in N10m.

Refreshments and meals in 2022 are expected to reach N3m while N35m will go to welfare packages.

The NFF will buy pick-up trucks for out-of-station projects monitoring for N65m another N40m will be for the purchase of buses and also be for the national teams training camp funds.

Another N65m will be used to construct a pavilion and sitting area for spectators at the NFF/FIFA Goal Project at Package B, of the Abuja National Stadium.

Sporting facilities and office buildings will gulp N65m and N20m respectively as well as N10m for the purchase of medical equipment for national teams during matches and tournaments.

NFF deny sacking Gernot Rohr as Super Eagles coach

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) have stated that they have not sacked Super Eagles handler Gernot Rohr.

There has been news going the round that the German gaffer has been relieved of his duties as the national team coach of Nigerian.

The 68-year-old who was appointed as coach of the three-time African champions in 2015 has had a not too convincing run at the Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

Though the Nigerian side finished top of Group C, the team were held to a 1-1 scoreline by Cape Verde in the final game played at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos.
