Man United have reportedly opened talks with Tottenham Hotspur over the signing of Harry Winks this summer.
United are set for a busy transfer window following a somewhat successful 2020/21 season when they finished second in the Premier League behind rivals Man City.
Express UK now reports United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to bring Winks to Old Trafford and talks over the stunning transfer are already underway.
Solskjaer has made no secret about his desire to sign more players, with a new centre-back and a striker understood to be key prioritise.
However, the Norwegian also appears keen to improve his options in midfield, with Winks now touted as a major target.
The Tottenham star endured a disappointing spell at the north London under Jose Mourinho as he was limited to just nine league matches, with two of those coming in the final round of the season under interim boss Ryan Mason.
Whereas Tottenham still do not have a substantive manager in place, reports in the UK claim they are willing to listen to offers.
It is believed the club would accept bids from £25million for the England international.
Winks is the second player to be linked with a move to Old Trafford, with Harry Kane the other one.
Kane is staring at an uncertain future at Spurs after he indicated his desire to leave this summer.
However, United will have to contend with competition from rivals Chelsea and Man City should they push for the transfer of the England forward.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Hakim Ziyech could be cashed out of Stamford Bridge after failing to settle under Frank Lampard and Thomas Tuchel in his first season with Chelsea, Daily Mail reports.
The Moroccan international made a big summer money move from Ajax but has failed to nail at staring place with the west London club.
The 28-year-old made 39 appearances across all competitions scoring six goals and creating four assists.7
