The football fraternity has been thrown into mourning following the tragic death of Egyptian coach Adham El-Selhadar who died of a heart attack.
Adham El-Selhadar was the coach of El Magd in the Egyptian second division and he was celebrating his side's 92nd-minute winner over El Zarqa on Thursday, December 2, when he suddenly collapsed.
According to the report on UK Sun and GOAL, efforts to revive the life of El-Selhadar after collapsing were futile as the 53-year-old eventually passed on.
It was a sad moment for football fans in Egypt who were shocked and sad the way the coach passed on despite all efforts.
The report added that Al Ahly which is one of the biggest teams in Egypt has commiserated with the family members and fans of the deceased over the incident.
Al Ahly's statement below
“Captain Mahmoud Al-Khatib, president of the club, and the members of the board of directors, mourn with great sadness and sorrow, Coach Adham El-Selhadar, the former Ismaily player, who passed away on Thursday, praying to the Almighty to cover the deceased with his vast mercy and enter him into his vast gardens."
El Magd chiefs have since announced that they will mourn the demise of their coach for six days and their next game has been postponed.
Another massive Egyptian club, Ismaily, also released the following statement:
“The Ismaily Board of Directors, headed by Engineer Yahya El-Komy, mourns the death of Adham El-Selhadar, a star and former coach of the team, who passed away as a result of a sudden heart attack, following his follow-up to the match of his team, “El-Majd” Alexandria, in the second division league competitions.
El Magd has since announced a six-day mourning period and their next fixture has been suspended.

The incident of players, fans and other individuals around the football world collapsing is becoming worryingly common in recent weeks.
In September, a young football star has passed away days after he suffered a cardiac arrest during a football game.
Dylan Rich of West Bridgford Colts was confirmed to have passed away, days after collapsing on the pitch.
