A supercomputer has backed Man City to finally conquer Europe and win the Champions League this season.
Despite their success in the Premier League in recent years, City have often struggled on the continental stage and are yet to taste European glory.
The Etihad-based outfit came close to winning the tournament last season but missed out after losing the final to EPL rivals, Chelsea.
However, they have been offered a glimmer of hope of finally being crowned Champions League winners by a supercomputer.
According to the supercomputer cited by Mirror UK, City will face off with Bayern Munich in the final on their journey to triumph.
Fellow Premier League sides Liverpool and holders Chelsea have been tipped to reach the semi-final, with Man United exiting in the last 16 stages.
The supercomputer's prediction is in tandem with that of Michael Owen who contends City are the team to beat in the competition.
City, meanwhile, are landed a favourable Round of 16 draw as they are set to face Portuguese giants, Sporting Lisbon.
The Citizens had earlier been paired with Villarreal but the draw was voided by UEFA.
On their part, Bayern Munich have been pooled alongside RB Salzburg as opposed to Atletico Madrid who they had drawn earlier.
