English Premier League outfit Newcastle United are prepared in bolstering their squad and will attempt to sign Oleksandr Zinchenko from Manchester City.
SPORTbible are reporting that since the Saudi Public Investment Fund and the Reuben Brothers, took over at the St. James’ Park, the Baggies are expected active in the transfer market.
It was gathered that the Premier league club are desperate in signing the Ukrainian international on loan as soon as the January transfer window opens.
The 24-year-old joined the Citizens back in 2016 on a deal around £1.7 million and he has grown to become one of the favourites under manager Pep Guardiola.
Zinchenko whose progress at the Etihad has been affected by injuries has struggled, couple with the sensational form of Joao Cancelo at left-back.
Although he was handed a start in the 2-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday night, Zinchenko has only managed 56 minutes in the Premier League.
Zinchenko was touted to go to Wolves in a £16 million move a couple of years back but elected to fight for his place and earn Pep Guardiola's trust. The manager said via Fotmob:
"He deserves all my respect and I think he's going to make a long career," Guardiola has said on Zinchenko.
"I don't know if that will be here, hopefully, or another place, but with this behaviour he will be happy doing his job.”
