Former Barcelona superstars Ronaldinho and Samuel Eto’o came together in an emotional reunion at the Qatar Grand Prix.
Eto’o shared the warm moment the pair met on his Instagram and the two could barely keep their hands off each other as they recreated their days in Barcelona.
In the caption, Eto’o showed he had immense adoration for Ronaldinho, writing: “I love you brother”.
From the video shared by Eto’o, the Cameroonian and Ronaldinho exchange niceties, before Ronaldinho boldly declared, “You’re old huh?” in typical brotherhood banter.
The pair enjoyed loads of success while at Barcelona, winning La Liga titles and the Championship.
At one point, they formed one of the most potent attacks in world football which also consisted of a young Lionel Messi, who was slowly coming of age.
They scored 200 goals between them during their time at Barcelona in one of the club’s most successful spell.
Ronaldinho backs Xavi to succeed
Ronaldinho recently offered his thoughts on his former teammate Xavi becoming new Barcelona boss and he backed the Spaniard to succeed at the Nou Camp.
“I think he will improve Barcelona because he’s a great coach. As a player, we’ve all seen his football, and as a coach he’s been very good."
“I hope things are good for him, and I hope that Barça will be there at the top again after a great year. All of us who love Barcelona hope so.”
