Roma manager Jose Mourinho is the gift that keeps on giving when it comes to off-the-pitch antics.
Mourinho was at it again over the weekend as he gifted youngster Felix Afena-Gyan a pair of swanky shoes worth KSh 100,000 (€800) for his contribution in the win against Genoa on Sunday, November 21.
Roma cruised to a 2-0 win in the Serie A on Sunday, with Afena-Gyan netting both goals for Jose Mourinho’s side.
Notably, he came off the bench in the 74th minute with the game finely poised at 0-0 and came up with the goods to ensure Roma travelled back home with all three points.
Speaking after the league win, a delightful Mourinho disclosed he promised to buy the young lad a pair of expensive shoes if he helped his side claim victory.
"I had promised to buy Felix the boots he really likes, which are really expensive, they cost €800, so he ran over and told me not to forget!” Mourinho said.
"Tomorrow morning, the first thing I do is buy him the boots."
And true to his word, the gaffer actually gifted the Ghanaian youngster a pair of expensive Balenciaga shoes.
Afena-Gyan took to social media to share a wholesome video of himself opening the gift from his manager.
The win took Roma to fifth on the log, 10 points behind league leaders Napoli who slipped in the title race after defeat to Inter Milan over the weekend.
