- The EPL has four representatives in the knockouts including Chelsea, Liverpool, Man United, and City
- Terry contends only Chelsea, Liverpool, and City have the best chance of lifting the UCL alongside Bayern Munich
- The Blues, who are the defending Champions have been paired with Lille in the Round of 16
John Terry has made his Champions League prediction following the controversial Monday, December 13, last 16 draw in Nyon, Switzerland.
UEFA was forced to conduct a redraw after the first round of fixtures were marred with a technical error.
The redraw has some mouthwatering match-ups thrown up, with Real Madrid's meeting with Paris Saint-Germain the standout one.
Terry's Chelsea avoided Bayern Munich in the redraw and are scheduled to face Lille in the knockouts as Liverpool battle Inter Milan.
Man City were paired with Sporting Lisbon, while Man United will play Atletico Madrid as opposed to PSG who they had drawn earlier.
Terry has now named four teams who he believes stand the best chance of carting home the European title.
While sharing a picture of the full draw, the Chelsea icon included the Blues among the teams who have the best chance of being crowned winners.
Others, according to the former England international are Man City, Liverpool, and Bayern Munich.
"Who’s winning the @ChampionsLeague this year?" he asked his 250k followers.
"@ChelseaFC, @FCBuyernMunich [sic], @LFC, @ManCity look to good today me," he tweeted.
Supercomputer backs Man City for UCL triumph
Earlier, TUKO.co.ke reported a supercomputer has backed Man City to finally conquer Europe and win the Champions League this season.
Despite their success in the Premier League in recent years, City have often struggled on the continental stage and are yet to taste European glory.
The Etihad-based outfit came close to winning the tournament last season but missed out after losing the final to EPL rivals, Chelsea.
However, they have been offered a glimmer of hope of finally being crowned Champions League winners by a supercomputer.
