Gernot Rohr has insisted that Nigerians should be patient for Odion Ighalo to hit top form for the Super Eagles, The Cable.
Nigerian qualified for the playoffs despite being held by Cape Verde at 1-1 apiece at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos.
Ighalo was recalled into the squad after retiring from international engagements shortly at the 2019 AFCON.
The 33-year-old played 78 minutes before he was hauled off.
Fans are not happy with the Al-Shabab's striker's performance on the night and Rohr has called from calm and patience.
What Rohr said about Ighalo
The Germa gaffer told journalists after the 1-1 draw with Cape Verde:
“We need a little patience with Ighalo. He was not with us for more than one year, and we need time to find harmony, and I think he did some interesting things with Osimhen, who will grow and learn a lot.”

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Odion Ighalo quickly rushed back home to say hello to his mum shortly after the Super Eagles were held by Cape Verde at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos.
The Al-Shabab striker failed to find the back of the net but will be happy with his performance against the Blue Sharksin Surulere.

The Super Eagles striker opened the scoring in the first minute of the game as he sent the fans at the Teslim Balogun Stadium to rapturous celebrations.
