With 48 hours to the 2021 Ballon d'Or gala night, Lionel Messi of Paris Saint-Germain has been reportedly named as the winner of the prestigious award beating the likes of Benzema and Robert Lewandowski.
In the first half of the year 2021, Lionel Messi was in great form for Barcelona and also his national team helping Argentina to win the Copa America where they defeated Brazil in the final.
The Copa America win for Argentina was also the first title Lionel Messi has won with the national team after failure in previous attempts to land a crown.

This season, the Bayern Munich striker has also been impressive in all competition with Real Madrid man Karim Benzema also firing in all cylinders.
