Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen was left with injuries following a clash of heads with defender Milan Skriniar during Napoli vs Inter Serie A clash, Channels TV reports.

It was obvious that the player was injured as his cheekbone rocked Skriniar’s head in an accidental collision at the San Siro Stadium.

The Super Eagles forward looked dazed as he was visibly swollen in the left eye and cheekbone, but he managed to walk off the pitch.

Football.Italia claims the 22-year-old was immediately rushed to San Raffaele hospital for tests, which showed multiple displaced fractures on his left cheekbone and orbital bone.

He is set to undergo surgery in Milan as he has been transferred to the Niguarda hospital where he got admitted and placed under observation.

There were earlier claims that the youngster could be out of action for about a month and this is a big blow to Napoli’s Serie A quest and Nigeria’s hope for AFCON title.

The 22-year-old has now doubled his tally in goal wearing the national colours of Nigeria with ten strikes in 19 matches as well as five assists.

A former sporting director at Italian club Inter Milan, Marco Branca, has disclosed that Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen is one of the best strikers currently.
