Manchester City claimed their second Champions League win this campaign after beating Club Brugge 5-1 at Jan Breydel Stadium on October 19.

The Premier League defending champions got the game off to a bright start but could only record their first goal on the half hour mark.

Joao Cancelo opened the scoring for the English team after benefiting from Phil Foden's assist and two minutes before half time, Riyad Mahrez doubled his side's lead.

The Algerian stepped up to convert the spot kick after Stanley N'Soki tripped him in the home team's danger zone.

Pep Guardiola's men continued from where they stopped in the second half as Kyle Walker got his name on the scores sheet in the 43rd minute. His goal was assisted by Kevin De Bruyne.

Youngster Cole Palmer stunned the world after grabbing his first Champions League goal in the 67th minute - barely three minutes after stepping onto the pitch to replace De Bruyne.

The goal was assisted by Raheem Sterling who also came on at the same time as the teenage sensation.

Hans Vanaken scored Club Brugge's only goal of the game in in the 81st minute in a bid to reduce their deficit but that will only last just three minutes as Mahrez found the back of the net for the second time as the meeting ended 5-1 in favour of the English team.
