Paris Saint-Germain stars who are from Argentina have returned home to enjoy the festive season according to a report on SunSport.
It was gathered that superstar Lionel Messi was joined by his teammates Angle Di Maria and Mauro Icardi as they all returned home to spend the yuletide season.
The French Ligue 1 begins its winter break as PSG will not have a game until January 9 when they take on the impressive Lyon.
Although there is a cup game vs Championnat National 2 side Vannes on New Year’s Day, but Messi and his compatriots will likely miss that game.
The trio was part of the PSG squad that played a 1-1 draw with Lorient in the midweek as Icardi also grabbed a last-minute equaliser.
Icardi has so far outshone Messi when it comes to league goals this season as he has found the back of the net four times, while Messi has just one.
The report via New York Folk also adds that seven-time Ballon d’Or winner Messi could get the chance to see a mural of himself that was recently unveiled in his home town Rosario.
The image of the former Barcelona star is 100ft tall and depicts Messi in an Argentina shirt with his hand across his heart.
Sergio Ramos gets first red card at PSG
Meanwhile, Sergio Ramos lasted just 41 minutes on the pitch after he was red-carded in PSG’s draw away at Lorient.
This is Ramos’ first red card for the Parisians in only just his third appearance for Mauricio Pochettino’s men due to injury and lack of fitness issues since his arrival from Spanish Giants Real Madrid last summer.
