Son of former Ghana captain, Stephen Appiah, Rodney Appiah made his first appearance of the season for Premier League side Great Olympics in their FA Cup game against Real Athletico.
Rodney Appiah started as the Ghana Premier League side suffered a penalty shootout defeat to the lower tier side on Wednesday, December 22, 2021.
In the line up released by the club, the young Appiah is seen starting in an offensive midfield role, just like his father use to back in the day.
Rodney was one of the brightest spot in the match played at the Tema Sports Stadium, as the game ended 1-1 in regulation time.
However, the Wonder Boys succumbed to a 3-1 penalty shoutout defeat and now exit at the round of 64.
