Head coach of the Black Stars, Milovan Rajevac has included five Ghana-based players in his 30-man provisional squad for AFCON 2021.
Regular invitees Richard Attah, Philemon Baffuor and Abdul Fatawu Issahaku have been joined by David Abagna and Maxwell Abbey Quaye.
The Serbian trainer named his squad at a short press conference in Accra on Tuesday ahead of the team's pre-AFCON camping in Qatar.
David Abagna has been in inspiring form for Premier League newcomers Real Tamale United, netting eight goals and providing an assist.
"Congratulations to our player David Abagna for earning a call up into the provisional team for 2022 AFCON," wrote RTU on Twitter confirming the invite.

FootballAbagna's golden boot rival Maxwell Abbey Quaye was also invited following his outstanding display for Accra Great Olympics in the on-going Ghana Premier League. Abbey Quaye has netted seven goals including a hat-trick against Accra Lions.
"Seeing my name in this provisional list is a big win, all thanks to God, coach Daniel Annor Walker, management of this great team, my team members, the lovely fans and every single person supporting me. At least my hard work is being recognised. We hope for the best," Quaye wrote after the list was published.
Meanwhile, for goalkeeper Richard Attah, defender Philemon Baffuor and midfielder Fatawu Issahaku, they have been part of the team for sometime now.
