AFCON 2019: Harambee Stars jersey ranked among worst as Algeria's emerge best

AFCON 2019 tournament has begun and the biggest soccer event in Africa have experienced breath-taking moments on different matchdays.

Madagascar, Mauritania and Burundi are making their debut in the competition which has been expanded from 16 teams to 24.

Old war horses like Egypt, Ghana, Cameroon, Senegal and Nigeria are also taking their stand at the event and one of them could be going home with the title.

However, away from tackles and goals in the football pitches in Egypt, a fresh battle among the teams is brewing.

According to Squawka, the teams' jerseys have been ranked according to their attractiveness.

Algeria's Adidas home kits featuring a simple miadidas template and the Tiro 19 print in a subtle manner on the body, sporting green three Stripes on the shoulders has emerged the best.

Nike’s Nigeria kit that they donned during last summer’s World Cup was ranked second, with Cameroon's top-heavy distinctive dark green jersey finishing third.

Meanwhile, Harambee Stars' new red Macron kits were ranked among the worst (17th) alongside Tanzania's, DR Congo and Burundi.

Meanwhile, TUKO.co.ke earlier reported Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is rooting for Algeria to win the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations title in Egypt who are making their 18th appearance in the competition.

Algeria have been drawn in Group C that also includes Kenya, Tanzania and Senegal's Lions of Teranga.

They are current joint-group leaders with three points, on level with Senegal after the two teams winning their group openers on Sunday, June 23.
