Nigeria took one step closer to the 2018 FIFA World Cup after a 4 - 0 win over West African rivals Cameroon in their qualifier played on Friday, September 1.
The Eagles came onto the game top of group B with six points while their rivals came second in the group with two points.
Cameroon shorned the Eagles of the ball in the early exchanges and stand in goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa had to be on top of his game to save a header from defender Ngadeu.

The opener would come from Odion Ighalo who dribbled Teikeu after collecting a pass from captain John Mikel Obi to open the scoring.
Mikel Obi scored the second when he side footed a corner kick from Victor Moses into the goal. Ighalo dis well to dummy the ball for Mikel to score.
The Eagles almost had a third before half time by Teikeu did well to clear Victor Moses cross after a counter-attack.

The Eagles started the second half the same way the did the first; chasing the game and Zambo Anguisa forcing Ezenwa to save from his long range effort.
In the 55th minute Victor Moses scored the third from a cut-back by Moses Simon.
The Chelsea man had started a counter attacking move, picking the ball from the front of the Nigerian box and taking out two players before feeding Moses Simon who fed him back.

Nigeria travel to Youande for the fourth group game against Cameroon which will be played on Monday, September 4.
