According to Football Espana, France has stuttered into the final four on the back of a low-key campaign in Germany, scoring just three goals (two own goals and one penalty) throughout the competition.

Les Blues appear to be struggling under Didier Deschamps this term, as they needed penalty shootouts to dispatch Portugal in the quarter-finals despite having a team full of superstar attackers.

France hopes to exert revenge on Spain after being knocked out of the European Championship by La Roja in 2012, the last time both teams met at the competition.

Spain and France have not met in the European Championships since 2012, and the winner of Tuesday’s semi-final will be considered the overwhelming favourite to win the cup in Germany.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Euro 2024 has reached the semi-final stage and is getting ready for two heavyweight ties as France take on Spain and England meet the Netherlands.

France and Spain go head-to-head in Munich in the first last-four clash on Tuesday, which brings together the best team at the competition so far.

La Roja are handicapped by the absences of two of their back four due to suspension, with right-back Dani Carvajal and central defender Robin Le Normand ruled out of the game.
