Impressive Burkina Faso star Stephane Aziz Ki has agreed to commit his future to Tanzanian outfit Young Africans ahead of next season.

The left-footed forward had been heavily linked with a move away from Yanga SC, where he won the league title last season.

The latest reports state that he is expected to sign a new deal ahead of the 2024/2025 football campaign.

GOAL confirmed that Aziz Ki's contract with the Tanzanian giants expired at the end of June, prompting interest from several clubs.

Top teams from the continent, including South African powerhouses Mamelodi Sundowns, Kaizer Chiefs, and Orlando Pirates, have been linked with the 28-year-old.

According to his agent, Zambro Traore, the forward will put pen on paper to a new deal with Yanga for the foreseeable future.

The impressive star netted 21 goals in the Tanzanian Premier League for Young Africans last season and won the Golden Boot award.

He helped the club to reach the quarter-finals of the CAF Champions League with two assists from 12 matches before they were controversially knocked out by Mamelodi Sundowns.

His recent performances also attracted North African clubs like Taja Casablanca, AS FAR Rabat and Wydad Casablanca, but he has since snubbed the teams.

Young Africans are on the verge of regrouping as they prepare for the forthcoming campaign. The Jangwani-based club will camp in South Africa and face Kaizer Chiefs in a high-profile friendly match.

Rulani Mokwena confirms new position

Sports Brief also reported that Rulani Mokwena confirmed his new position after parting ways with Mamelodi Sundowns this month.

The 37-year-old led the Brazilians to the DStv Premiership title last season and won the inaugural edition of the CAF African Football League.

Mokwena's departure came as a surprise to many, considering his status among the top coaches in the South African league and also in Africa.
